Ezrah Pollard sadly lost his life to Group B Strep infection, which became sepsis with meningitis, in March 2022. He was just 19 days old. Since his death, his parents have been raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of infection in babies and have been fundraising in his memory. They are keen for all parents to have knowledge of both Group B Strep bacteria and the signs and symptoms of infection in babies. More information on this bacteria can be found on the Group B Strep Support website.
The funds raised from this project will be divided between the following charities in memory of Ezrah:
Group B Strep Support - a small UK based charity who work tirelessly to raise awareness of and reduce the numbers of Group B Strep Infection. https://gbss.org.uk
The Grand Appeal - The Grand Appeal fund Bristol Children’s Hospital who care for children in the South West. This hospital is Cornwall’s closest children’s hospital and is where Ezrah sadly passed away. https://www.grandappeal.org.uk
